V318 OBD2 Engine Fault-Code Scanner is a compact, plug-and-play code reader for checking engine and emissions faults on compatible petrol vehicles. It is suited to motorists, used-car buyers and workshops that need quick basic OBD2 checks without an app, phone or internal battery.

Diagnostic Functions
The V318 supports standard OBD2/EOBD functions including read/erase codes, freeze frame, I/M readiness, live data, vehicle information, oxygen-sensor testing and EVAP-system testing where the vehicle supports them. It also displays battery voltage.
Important Capability Limit
This is an engine and emissions OBD2 reader. It is not a full-system diagnostic scanner and does not diagnose ABS, airbags/SRS, body modules or perform service resets, coding, programming or bi-directional active tests.

Vehicle Compatibility
Designed for compatible 12V petrol vehicles using standard OBD2/EOBD protocols. Coverage depends on the vehicle market and compliance date—typically 1996-onward US vehicles, 2000-onward European petrol vehicles and many later Asian vehicles. It is not suitable for non-OBD2 vehicles, and this version should not be assumed compatible with diesel, hybrid or electric vehicles.

Important Notes
Clearing codes does not repair the underlying fault and can also reset readiness monitors and freeze-frame information. Diagnose and repair the cause before erasing codes. Please confirm vehicle compatibility with OBD Dynamics if unsure.
